On this hiking route along the coast of Mar del Plata, we'll discover the urban nature reserves located in this area of the province of Buenos Aires.
At the indicated time, we'll meet at the Centro Comercial del Puerto shopping center, located next to the docks of Mar del Plata.
Once we're all together, we'll set off on a hiking route to get to know the urban nature reserves on the coast of Mar del Plata. Together with a Spanish-speaking guide, we'll follow a low-difficulty route that will begin with a visit to the Mar del Plata Port Nature Reserve, which is home to an outstanding colony of sea lions.
After learning about this important urban nature reserve, we'll observe how this ecosystem extends to the lagoons of Punta Mogotes. As we walk along this coastal area of Mar del Plata we'll check out the environmental richness of the surroundings, as well as its transformation by humans over time. The guide will be sure to also tell us some stories about the evolution of these landscapes. We'll also enjoy a picnic consisting of a sandwich, a piece of fruit and a bottle of mineral water.
We'll then begin making our way back to the starting point with a walk along the extensive beaches of Punta Mogotes. The last stop will take place at the Museo del Hombre del Puerto, where we'll continue to delve into the historical, cultural and environmental evolution that the coast of Mar del Plata and its reserves have undergone over the decades.
The tour will finish as we return to the meeting point after 4 hours of activity.
