Juan was an amazing tour guide! He was one of the best we have ever had. He was incredibly knowledgeable and able to answer so many questions. The civitatis.com website was very easy to navigate and the parameters of the tour logistics were reasonably explained. The tour guide was timely, courteous and articulate. She was very considerate as we took breaks in the shade and when it rained (on several occasions) she stopped and directed us to take cover from the elements. The chosen language was English and the tour guide, Sara, spoke English very well. I would recommend as the content was very educational and well-paced.

One of the best walking tours I ever took! Sarah was fantastic. It was a very hot day; she made sure we all had water before we started and found lots of shade for us along the way. We learned a lot about the history of San Juan and were able to ask as many questions as we wanted. The tour was everything we hoped it would be!

Sara was an excellent guide! You can tell she enjoys giving tours, recomendations, and telling stories about PR. She gave us a tour and a fun history lesson. Really appreciate her taking the most shaded route around old San Juan. Be sure to bring water and be prepared for lots of walking. Please tip her generously, it is definitely worth it!

This tour was a great way to get introduced San Juan and see what the city has to offer to then plan your day around. We enjoyed learning about the Puerto Rican history as well as the current culture and conversations of the people that live there. Our guide was lovely and easy to understand. We appreciated that she always stopped in a shady spot to talk!

Carmen is an excellent walking tour host and we had a great experience exploring Old San Juan! She was friendly and knowledgeable and provided guests with specific recommendations and directions. In the future, I'd want to do a tour with less people as the very large group sometimes made it tricky to hear the information. Regardless, highly recommend to help get your Old San Juan bearings :) Thank you, Carmen!

This walking tour was extremely informative and fun. I can’t believe that it was free! Our tour guide, Sarah, was amazing and open to giving us any recommendations we requested. I learned a lot about the history of Puerto Rico and got to see all around old San Juan during the 2.5 hr tour. I definitely recommend.

The walking tour of Old San Juan was educational, enlightening, and entertaining. Our tour guide had a great personality, was very passionate, and told great stories. They work on tips so bring some extra cash. By the end of the tour, you will want to tip her more.

Our tour guide was amazing! I feel that she covered many interesting historical & cultural aspects of Puerto Rico. Some, of which, enlightened a PR native in our group. The guide's personality & smile really added to the experience. The 2hr length & small breaks were perfect. The tour itself is walking, but easy enough for those not regularly physically active. Don't forget decent footwear, sunscreen, water, and a small backpack. Be sure to tip your guide for their passionate work!

Very enjoyable walking tour today with Civitas. Met up with the guide quite easily at Plaza Colon. Sarah was very personable and knowledgeable about Old San Juan. She covered a great deal of history, as well as commenting on current issues. Gave us two rest stops. Also recommended local restaurants and other local sights. She was careful to monitor the group, considering it was quite large. I would highly recommend this tour.

Our tour guide as very informative and offered good places to go to during our stay here. Learned lots of history, walked through very pretty views. Lots of walking which I didn’t mind and there were at least two to three times where we took a break for 10 minutes to take pics or get snacks/drinks.

The tour leader was very knowledgeable and enthusiastic about her country, its history and all it has to offer. It’s a shame that we could hardly hear her unless we stood close to her (in front of the crowd) as we’re both seniors and perhaps hard of hearing. If she had a louder speaker which I’ve seen other your group leaders wear, we might have gotten more BN out of it.
