Philadelphia and Amish Country Day Trip

At 6:30 am, we'll see you in central Manhattan outside the Port Authority and board a comfortable, air-conditioned van or coach. We'll travel through New Jersey and Pennsylvania until we reach Philadelphia, also known as The City of Brotherly Love.

As we arrive in the historic area of Philadelphia we'll visit the famous Liberty Bell, an iconic symbol of freedom in America. We'll also see the Independence National Park and Congress Hall, as well as strolling along Elfert Alley, the oldest continuously inhabited street in the country.

We'll take a sightseeing tour of Philadelphia to see the Financial District and the Benjamin Franklin Parkway as we explore this city's vibrant historic centre.

It'll then be time to leave Philadelphia behind and set off for our next stop. As we make our way out of the city, we'll see the famous Rocky Steps. These 72 monumental steps pave the way to the Philadelphia Museum of Art. We'll then arrive in Lancaster County, home to the country's oldest Amish settlements.

When we arrive, you'll have some time to have lunch at the marketplace and purchase handmade souvenirs.

Afterwards, we'll take an authentic Amish Buggy ride through the surrounding farmland. You'll learn all about how the Amish live without modern technology, electricity, running water, telephone services or domestic appliances.

Following an unforgettable experience, we'll start our return journey to New York, where we'll arrive in the evening.
