Day Trip Details

First, we'll board a comfortable coach at the designated time in central London, where you can relax until we arrive at Windsor Castle. The bus ride will take around an hour.

One hour from London, Windsor Castle is the largest occupied fortification with an 800-year-old tower. It has been built in a privileged location and is surrounded by a magnificent garden. We'll explore its rooms, admire its works of art, and visit St George’s Chapel. One of the Castle’s highlights is Queen Mary’s Doll House, a beautiful toy house built between 1921 and 1924 and which even had hot water and electricity.

The next stop will be Stonehenge, the United Kingdom’s most renowned megalithic monument. It was built with 40-ton prehistoric stones over 5,000 years ago. To this day, this landmark is a mystery, as it's not clear how it was built or what purpose it had.

After exploring Stonehenge, we'll head to the last stop of the day trip Oxford, one of the oldest cities in England and home to one of the most prestigious universities in the world. You’ll be able to admire “the city of dreaming spires” and buildings such as the Bodleian Library, one of the oldest in Europe. The charming streets and squares of Oxford will not leave you indifferent!

Finally, after around 11.5 hours, you’ll be back in the center of London.

Admission Tickets

During the booking process, you can choose from three options:

Day trip without tickets
Day trip with tickets to Stonehenge
Day trip with tickets to Windsor Castle and Stonehenge

If you choose the tour without tickets, you’ll be able to explore both destinations on your own, getting the tickets at their ticket offices or enjoying your free time in their surroundings. If you select the option that includes entry to Stonehenge only, you’ll have free time to wander around the area while the rest of the group visits Windsor Castle. We’ll set a meeting point to regroup and continue the tour together.

Windsor Castle Closures

Windsor Castle is a working royal palace and planned closures may suffer alterations. The castle will be closed to the public on December 25 and 26. Additionally, St George's Chapel is closed to visitors on Sundays. Nevertheless, the Royal Gardens, Queen Mary's Dolls' House, and the Art Gallery remain open.

Please note that the guide does not accompany you inside Windsor Castle and Stonehenge, but audio guides are available if you wish to use them. You can download them from the app store on your cell phone.

If you want to dedicate more time to visit these places individually, you can book a Day Trip to Stonehenge, a Day Trip to Windsor Castle, or a Day Trip to Oxford, each on its own. All of them have a duration of between 4 and 6 hours, dedicated exclusively to visiting in-depth one of these fascinating places.
