If you're in Coimbra, you can't miss out on the chance to discover the Bairrada wine region and sample its delicious and luxurious wines.
At the scheduled time, we'll meet up on Avenida Emídio Navarro in Coimbra and set off on a wine tour around the Bairrada region. For four hours, we'll tour this area that stands out for its exquisite wines and visit its most emblematic spots.
First, we'll go to Curia, where the headquarters of the Bairrada wine route is located. Here, all the wine producers of the region are present and we'll be able to discover many of their products.
We'll then leave Curia to enjoy a panoramic tour of the vineyards in Bairrada. Not only that, but we'll also make a stop to visit a winery, which will vary depending on availability. We may be lucky enough to visit Caves Messias, a traditional winery with over 90 years of history. What's more, we'll have a tasting of Bairro wines.
Worked up an appetite yet? We'll give you some free time for lunch in Mealhada, so you'll have the opportunity to sample the local delicacies at your own leisure.
Then, we'll return to Coimbra, where we'll arrive after a four-hour tour.
