The history and tradition of olive oil in Lake Garda are deeply rooted. To see for yourself, join us on this tour of the Olio Viola oil mill, which also includes an oil tasting. Let's get started!
Once the introductions are done, we'll take a walk through one of their farms with centuries-old olive trees. Along the way, we'll tell you about the unique characteristics of these trees that grow in what is known as the Riviera degli Olivi and their cultural importance in the region.
Next, we'll visit the oil mill, where we'll show you how extra virgin olive oil is produced. From harvest to bottling, you'll learn about each step so that you can fully appreciate the journey that olives take before becoming liquid gold. To help you understand the process perfectly, we'll also show you an explanatory video about the different stages of production.
To round off this experience, we'll enjoy a tasting in the olive oil mill garden. You'll sample 4 types of oils, including the famous “Garda DOP,” each with different aromas and flavors. To accompany the tasting, we will serve other typical products, such as bread, olive pâté, cold cuts, and organic olives from Lake Garda.
After 1.5 hours, we'll end the tour of the oil mill by saying goodbye at the entrance.
