We'll begin the tour by driving through Jabal Al-Hussein until we reach the Citadel, the highest point in the city. From this viewpoint, you'll have an impressive view of ancient Amman.
We'll see the imposing Roman, Byzantine and Islamic ruins and admire the Roman Amphitheatre, carved into a hillside in the 2nd century BC, the most important remain of Amman's predecessor, the Roman city of Philadelphia. We'll also pass by the Raghadan Palace, where the late King Hussein is buried.
Next, we'll head to the city centre, where you'll have free time to stroll around and explore the lively gold and spice markets, soaking up the authentic atmosphere of Amman.
